On the tracking carried out in last May at the National Hunting Reserve of Boumort, 28 different Black Vulture specimens were monitored by means of direct observation.

From those 28 black vultures, 24 were released or born in the wild within the reintroduction programme, 2 individuals were coming from Cévennes (France) and 2 individuals are exogenous with no rings, probably from Iberian origin.

Gala started a dispersal journey on 23 May, to Huesca, north of Navarra and France (near Paris), in order to finally begin what seems her journey back  on 30 May. Gata has been partly in Boumort as well as visiting several points in Lleida and Huesca provinces, even reaching the surroundings of Vic on 26 May. Muga started a journey on 12 May to the south of France, to overfly the whole Pyrenees north watershed to the west and finally to come back to Boumort (a total of 421 Km in two days). The rest of the individuals remain settled in the territory, included those 5 black vultures released on 1 March.

As regards the breeding season, two of the pairs with chick (Perla and Portell, Bruna and Corneli) continued reproduction during the whole month with no difficulties. In the case of the third pair (Menta and Mario), nevertheless, like it happen in the last season,  the female was abandoning her parental duties and a delay in the chick growth was observed, so that it was was rescued by the middle of May when being 41 days old. It was rehabilitated at the Vallcalent Wildlife Centre, and after a week and a half it was reintroduced as an adoptive chick in the nest of Neus and Oriol (another of the pairs that started reproduction this year) that accepted it immediately. They are now raising it in a satisfactory way.
