The Black Vulture colony is currently comprised of 30 individuals settled in the Pre-Pyrenees of Lleida. There are already 7 pairs set up in the colony.

Throughout the month of December 30 different black vultures have been identified: 26 endogenous individuals (released or born within he framework of the reintroduction programme), 2 exogenous of French originand 2 exogenous of Iberian origin. Twice in December the 30 individuals could be identified in a single day: on the 4 and the 29.

The three chicks born in 2013 stay in the area and they behave as totally emancipated individuals, moving around in search of food sources as any other member of the colony do. With the two new pairs formed in November, the colony has currently got 7 Black Vulture pairs.
