Full veterinary check-up

The same day of the marking a full check of the specimens was conducted by a wildlife expert veterinary of GREFA. This is something essential to verify that the black vultures are in optimal conditions for the day of his release. These birds have been born one or two years ago, and due to their inexperience will cost them fly and find the first food once the final release is made.

Intensive monitoring of their movements when flying free and the contributions of food daily provided will make it possible to its adaptation to the natural environment. When they begin to fly through the Catalonian pre-Pyrenees, will have taken the first step to integrate into the colony of black vultures in Boumort-Alinyà.This population already has 47 resident individuals, of whom half are fixed, with 12 pairs (10 of them breeding).
